We had a nice Sunday evening post ready for all of you, but when there is an even bigger cause which affects all of us, it is our responsibility to spread and hug this initiative with the hope and happiness wiith which others have done it.
People of the world...we love you!

Hello, my name is Xavier and I have a permanent job. I am quitting it to go and live on the
other side of the world, start my own business and change my lifestyle.
When someone hears these words coming from my lips they normally think: This man is crazy.
And normally says: But, have you seen what the world is like out there?
As if someone really knew!
In the last few weeks I have mainly come across 2 different types of people:
a) The Dreamers: They are interested in your projects, your reasons for going through with it,
they understand them (without any need to share them), they lend words of honest support.
b) The realistic: skeptics. They know life is what they have in front of them and tell you how
hard it is to change it. They’re not really interested in knowing your story, but ask intentioned
questions willing to create debate and demonstrate how wrong you are.
Some advice? Keep away from individuals in category B. They will try to abate your hopes and
make you doubt.
164 days till I leave my job. A job in which I have invested 1825 days of my life. In which I have
learnt to be independent, to grow, and find out how easy it is to be stuck thinking it’s the
correct thing to do. Of course, I’m talking about my personal case.
When the financial crisis started I was commissioned abroad for 5 months. I won a
considerable amount of money, which went in a used Peugeot 206 and in my wedding.
I got married when I was 23. A lot of people would say to me: But do you know how young
you are? Group B individuals. Luckily, some other “A” s would encourage me to follow my
instincts. It’s what you feel you want?, then do it!
Next year, in July, my wife and I will celebrate 10 years together. Maybe in Bali, maybe in some
other random place. Why have we kept a relationship since we were so young when there are
so many people to meet in life? Simply, it’s what we felt we wanted.
Nevertheless now, to go, to arm myself with courage and move 12,800 kilometers from
my home, to leave all my possessions and my loved ones behind… Although it might sound
strange, in my early twenty-five years of age, is what I feel I want.
I do not need to give more explanations to anybody. And I can bet on it, these explanations
lack value for the majority.
And it is to you, who reads my thoughts, who knows my fears and my hopes. To you, dear
reader, I ask: What type of person are you? What type of person do you want to be?
While you think about it, or you reject it the idea completely, I will only say a thing that is not
going to change until the 29th of September of this year:
Hello, my name is Xavier and I have a permanent job. I am quitting it to go and live on the
other side of the world, start my own business and change my lifestyle.
Xavier
P.S: In case you do not read the comments. The examples that I have exposed, are clearly the
most extreme. In the balance it is the virtue. It is necessary to try to be as realisticas much as a
dreamer.

Excelente publicidad.

Xavier

The most surprising thing of the western man is that he loses his health to make money and later on, loses his money to recover his health.
By thinking anxiously about his future he does not enjoy the present, then he neither lives
the present nor the future.
He lives as if he would never die. And dies as if he had never lived.
Dalai Lama

During the Easter Holidays I had the urge of a spring clean. Meaning I get wrestles and excited, and suddenly have millions of useless things to through away at home and, out of sheer solidarity, so does Xavi.
Also, the thought of starting to pack up things we knew we weren’t going to be using any time soon (e.g.: Christmas tree, winter clothes, etc.) would give us a bigger sense of reality about marching off to the other side of the world and, let’s face it, more space to work on our coming art projects.
This done, I have found myself making lists of “musts” and filling up my imaginary suitcase for our journey. Whether I’m in the middle of a conversation or crossing town in the underground, daydreaming has become a habit.
Results? So far, my suitcase is 2m. long, has 8 wheels and weighs 200k! Wonderful, figure myself explaining that to the airline assistant! But, what can you expect from someone who takes at least 4 or 5 just in case pairs of shoes for a weekend break?
The truth is, I couldn’t wait to set foot on Bali and get rid of all the conventionalisms we’ve been brought up with. Unfortunately, Bali is not the solution. Hiding behind the idea that one will change once we’re out of our usual context is the easiest way of not taking responsibility of our own patterns and routines.
Well, Rome wasn’t built in one day and change takes time. I’m now working on rewriting all these "musts" so I can start crossing them out in my day dreaming sessions, which I’m taking a liking to.
Because, if we can’t make the decision to lighten this weight from the beginning for ourselves, we will end up struggling with it wherever we go.
Who knows how things will turn up, though just taking a toothbrush is maybe being a little bit extreme!
Laura

desnudemos nuestros cuerpos,nuestras almas brillaran,
Derrotemos nuestros miedos,no debemos escapar,

This next post was going to be a way of pouring out all my doubts,
the fears, the ups and downs of the last weeks, of the nerves by the
uncertainty of things. But, how do you write about something you no
longer feel? Is it all still there? By all means, underneath an increasing
smile, of a feeling of active and latent happiness, of the butterflies in the
stomach of the first love, That’s how Laura moves around these days.
She’s in love! In love with this new beginning.
Five months left. That much time still? That soon? Which is the correct
question? And, what if we have to come back after 6 months? What an
experience it will have been, nevertheless! I can only think as an answer
to that question, that we did it, that we followed our heart.
And what if, against all predictions, we find our place there?
I feel that we have fallen in the safety of uncertainty, and that makes
us strong. The winter went away, our small spring begins to bloom
between the walls of our daily life and the stems and roots draw wrinkles
in the corners of our eyes and stimulates the muscles of our faces leading
to an irremediable smile, breaking the silence with outbursts of laughter,
already forming part of us, of our complicity, reflection of our hopes and
dreams.
Today I take you all on my journey.
Laura
